GUBBIO – Questa mattina (mercoledì 4 gennaio) è stata presentata la terza edizione della Notte Nazionale del Liceo, evento che si svolgerà venerdì 13 gennaio, dalle ore 18 alle ore 24, al Polo Liceale Mazzatinti. In primis, il Liceo Classico di Gubbio, ma anche tutto il Polo Liceale Mazzatinti partecipa a questa interessante iniziativa sin dalla sua prima edizione, cosa che lo pone in Umbria al centro di un’attenzione importante dovuta alla continuità della partecipazione all’iniziativa.
La preside Maria Marinageli ha raccontato in breve la storia dell’iniziativa: “La Notte Nazionale del Liceo nasce da un’idea del professor di greco Rocco Schembra del Liceo ‘Gulli e Pennisi’ di Acireale. Il professor Schembra, vedendo che si stava verificando un momento di frenata dell’istruzione classica, si è inventato questo mega open day che dura dalle 18 alle 24. È un’iniziativa che ha proposto a tutti i licei classici d’Italia, mettendo al centro la cultura classica.
Sia gli orari che il tema di questa serata sono stabiliti a livello nazionale. Abbiamo aderito sin dalla prima edizione, alla quale avevano aderito poco più di 100 licei, 101 se non sbaglio. Nella seconda edizione hanno partecipato circa 250 licei, mentre quest’anno siamo arrivati a 367 licei. Questa notte ha dato via anche ad una rete nazionale di licei, a cui abbiamo aderito fin da subito”.

“Quest’anno – ha affermato la preside Marinageli spiegando il programma – è stata data ad ogni liceo la libertà di scegliere il tema. Le nostre docenti di lettere classiche hanno deciso di vedere l’aspetto divertente della lingua greca e quindi il tema è ‘Ridere nel mondo antico e… oggi’, al quale saranno legate tutte le performance dei ragazzi. La serata verrà aperta dagli interventi della presidente della Regione Umbria Catiuscia Marini e dal Sindaco di Gubbio Filippo Mario Stirati che farà gli onori di casa.
Il padrino d’eccezione di questa serata sarà il giornalista Rai Alessio Zucchini, mentre interverrà anche Donato Loscalzo, docente di letteratura greca all’Università di Perugia. Alle 21.30 inizieranno in diverse aule le attività organizzate dai ragazzi che si ripeteranno all’incirca ogni trenta minuti. La chiusura sarà affidata alla lettura del Lamento di Danae di Simonide di Ceo”.
Il motore di quest’iniziativa è il Liceo Classico, ma nel Polo Liceale Mazzatinti, tutti gli indirizzi si sono messi al servizio del tema scelto dall’indirizzo classico e arricchito il programma, che ancora è in fase di costruzione per quanto riguarda alcune attività. La preside Marinangeli ha voluto invitare tutta la popolazione all’evento perché si tratta di una serata fruibile da tutti per mostrare la grande sinergia tra gli indirizzi e che questo Polo Liceale sia una realtà vivace e culturalmente profonda.

Presentation of the “National night of the high school“
This morning (wednesday January 4th) the third edition of the National Night of the High school has been introduced, event which will take place Friday 13 January, from 18 o’clock to midnight, to the Polo Liceale Mazzatinti. First of all, the classical high school of Gubbio, but also the whole Polo Liceale Mazzatinti participates in this interesting initiative since its first edition and that it sets it, also in Umbria, to the centre of an important attention because it has a great continuity in comparison to this initiative.
The headmaster Maria Marinageli has told shortly the history of this initiative: “The National Night of the High school is born from an idea of the professor of Greek Rocco Schembra of the High school “Gulli and Pennisi” of Acireale. Professor Schembra, seeing that he was verifying a moment of braked of the classical education, is invented this mega open day that has lasted since 18 to the 24. It is an initiative that has proposed to all the classical high schools of Italy putting to the centre the classical culture.

“This year – continues the headmaster Marinageli explaining the program – has been given to every high school the liberty to choose the theme. Our teachers of classical letters have decided to see the amusing aspect of the Greek language and therefore the theme is “to Laugh in the ancient world and today”, to which all the performances of the boys will be tied up. The evening will be opened by the interventions of the president of the Region Umbria Catiuscia Marini and from the Mayor of Gubbio Filippo Mario Stirati who will do the honours of house.
The godfather of exception of this evening will be the journalist Rai Alessio Zucchini, while Donato Loscalzo, professor of Greek literature to the university of Perugia, will also intervene. At 21.30 will begin in the different classrooms the activities organized by the boys that approximately each will repeat approximately him every thirty minutes. The closing will be submitted to the reading of the Complaint of Danae of Simonide of Ceo“.
The motor of this initiative is the classical high school, but in the Pole Liceale Mazzatinti, all the addresses have put them on to the service of the theme chosen by the classical address and enriched the program, that is still in phase of construction as it regards some activities. The headmaster Marinangeli has wanted to invite the whole population to the event because it deals with an enjoyable evening from all to show the great synergy among the addresses and that this Pole Liceale is a vivacious reality and culturally deep.
