Il Presepe di Orietta Marchi, la Natività
GUBBIO – Durante le festività natalizie, in ogni famiglia, non possono mancare l’Albero di Natale e il tradizionale Presepe. L’eugubina Orietta Marchi ne sa qualcosa, perché nella capanna davanti casa ha costruito un Presepe veramente suggestivo, che, da quando ha avuto quest’idea, ha sempre vinto il primo premio come miglior Presepe di Gubbio.
Orietta, com’è nata l’idea di costruire questo suggestivo Presepe?
“Ho iniziato questa tradizione del Presepe cinque anni fa. Devo dire la verità che è stata un’idea della mia nipotina, che mi chiese se costruivamo un Presepe in giardino. Il primo anno lo abbiamo realizzato sotto il nostro gazebo, ma viste le condizioni atmosferiche gli anni successivi abbiamo deciso di costruirlo in questa capanna”.

Quanto tempo vi serve per assemblare questo capolavoro?
“Ci impieghiamo circa una settimana, solitamente lo realizziamo verso l’8 dicembre e rimane qui fino all’Epifania, se non oltre. È un lavoro minuzioso che dura tutto l’anno. Infatti appena lo smontiamo, io già mi rimetto al lavoro a costruire nuove casette per sostituire quelle utilizzate. A questo Presepe ci lavoriamo io e mio marito che mi aiuta molto nell’assemblamento.

Quella per i Presepi è una passione che ha avuto sin da piccola?
“A dir la verità non proprio. È una passione che ho coltivato negli anni, ho sempre fatto un piccolo Presepe in casa. Poi, mia nipote mi ha dato l’idea ed eccoci qua, anche perché per portare avanti una tradizione di questo genere ci vuole molta passione e dedizione”.

Orietta Marchi knows something, in the hut before her house she has built a really suggestive manger, that, from when she has had this idea, she has always won the first prize as the best manger of Gubbio.
Orietta, when was born the idea to build this suggestive manger?
“I have begun this tradition of the manger 5 years ago. I must say the truth that has been an idea of my little niece, that asked me if we built a manger in garden. The first year we have realized it under our gazebo, but seen the atmospheric conditions we have decided, the following years, to build it here in this hut”.

How long does it serve you to assemble this masterpiece?
“We employ there around 1 week, we usually realize it toward December 8 and it remains here up to the epiphany, if not over. It is a minute job, nevertheless, that lasts the whole year. In fact as soon as we get off it, I already start again to build new cottages to replace the used ones. To this manger
I work with my husband who helps a lot to assemble it. Our manger is formed from natural elements, all of this that we find, we try to insert it in the manger, from the branches of olive tree to the musk, to the materials that I use for the cottages“.
Is that for the mangers a passion that you have had since small?
“To say the truth not really. It is a passion that I have cultivated in the years, I have always made a small manger in the house. Then, my nephew has given me the idea and here we are, also because to bring forth a tradition like this, it takes a lot of passion and devotion”.
