GUBBIO – Domenica 11 dicembre, una delle squadre più esperte di cacciatori di cinghiali, iscritta al comprensorio eugubino settore “Salia-Il Ciacca” effettuavano una classica battuta di caccia nel settore loro assegnato.
Ad un certo momento i cacciatori, sentendo abbaiare i loro cani “a fermo” (in gergo tecnico significa che i cani abbaiano quando trovano i cinghiali che si rifugiano nella “lestra”, cioè il proprio covo), pensavano di aver trovato dei cinghiali ed invece si trattava di quattro lupi adulti che, invece di scappare, hanno aggredito ed ucciso una cagna.
I cacciatori si sono accorti dell’accaduto il mattino seguente vedendo che la cagna, la sera prima, non era rientrata. Di conseguenza, sono andati a cercarla e l’hanno trovata senza vita con i segni evidenti del morso di un lupo sulla gola.
Abbiamo chiesto all’esperto cacciatore Paolo Procacci se questi eventi possano coinvolgere anche gli uomini: “Non c’è un vero e proprio pericolo per gli uomini, tuttavia coloro che vanno in quelle zone con i cani devono stare molto attenti perché potrebbe accadere un episodio analogo a questo. I lupi, infatti, aggrediscono soprattutto i cani mentre cacciano”.

Sunday 11th December, one of the most experienced teams of hunters of wild boars, affiliate in the district eugubino sector “Salia-Il Ciacca” effected a classical hunting trip in their assigned sector.
At a certain point the hunters, feeling their dogs bark “to firm“, in technical slang it means that the dogs bark when they find the wild boars that are sheltered in their “lestra“, that is to say their own burrow, thought about having found some wild boars and instead it dealt with 4 adult wolves that, instead of escaping, have attacked and killed a dog.
The hunters have realized what happened the following morning, seeing that the dog, the evening before had not entered. Accordingly they have gone to look for her, and they have found her dead with the evident signs of the bite of a wolf on the throat.
We have asked to the experienced hunter Paolo Procacci if these events can also involve the men: “There is not a real danger for the men, nevertheless all those people who go to those zones with their dogs must be very careful since could happen an episode analogous to this. The wolves, in fact, attack above all the dogs to hunting“.
