GUBBIO – Yesterday, Sunday 26th June, a new attempt of theft happened near Mocaiana, a hamlet of Gubbio. The event, come about after 10 pm, has involved a local family, that is not new, unfortunately, to these episodes.
According to the testimonies collected on the spot, the 3 thieves have left their car in a car park in the proximities of the dwelling with one of them who has remained inside the car ready to run away.
The other two thieves, to get into the detached house, have broken a solid wood shutter and one window pane which has turned on the alarm, avoiding that they could subtract any object. Then, the thieves have gone beyond the fence, have reached the car and have succeeded in escaping.

One of the neighbours has seen the criminals and has tried to pursue them, affirming that one of them, probably all with foreign accent, was tall, thin and with curly hair.

Despite the attempt, the thieves have succeeded in running away pointing a strong light in the eyes of the pursuer who, being dazzled, has not kept following them. In the end, the thieves, not to be identified through the car, have sped away with the car bonnet open, so that the witnesses was not able to take the number plate.
The citizens of Mocaiana are exasperated by these episodes and they ask a greater control of the territory form the competent authorities.
