We have interviewed Mirko, Luca, Andrea, Caterina e Roberta. Here what they said about the composition they choose and why they did this choice
Mirko
GUBBIO – This morning, 22nd June 2016, it take place the dreaded first test, that is to say the composition in Italian of the school-leaving examination 2016. The typologies of composition, among which the students have had to choose, are:
–Typology A: Text analysis of a piece of Umberto Eco
–Typology B: Artistic and literary short essay “The relationship between father and son in the arts and the literature in the 20th century”; Socio-economic short essay “Growth, development and social progress. Is the GDP the measure of everything?”; Historical and political short essay “The value of the landscape”; Technical and scientific short essay “The mankind and the adventure in the space”
L’Istituto Maria Letizia Cassata
–Typology C: Composition about an historical subject: the 1946 universal suffrage and the first women vote in the Italian History
–Typology D: Composition about some recent events: the immigration and the theme of borders
We went to the Istituto Istruzione Superiore Cassata Gattapone in order to collect the first impressions of the students who had just finished the exam. We have interviewed Mirko, Luca, Andrea, Caterina e Roberta. Here what they said about the composition they choose and why they did this choice:
Mirko: “I chose the Typology A, that is to say the text analysis of a piece of Umberto Eco. I wrote this kind of composition because I found it easier and more suitable to my abilities. I hope I did a good job and took a good mark“.
Luca e Andrea
Luca: “I chose the Typology B, that is to say the technical and scientific short essay. I chose this type of text because during these five years of high school I have always practised in this kind of text and I was sure that I could do a good composition“.
Andrea: “I chose the Typology B, that is to say the artistic and literary short essay about the relationship between father and son in the 20th century. I chose this kind of short essay because I found the title very clear“.
Caterina: “I chose the Typology B too, that is to say the artistic and literary short essay because I found the composition easier than the others and I could express more concepts than in the other compositions“.

Roberta: “I chose the Typology B, that is to say the technical and scientific short essay about the space. I chose this type of composition because, in my opinion, this was the easiest type of composition and I could do a good job“.
