GUBBIO – Si è svolta nella sala consiliare del Comune di Gubbio la cerimonia di consegna degli attestati di partecipazione ai progetti “Angels City” e “Giovani Ciceroni”, iniziative che hanno coinvolto giovani eugubini tra i 17 e i 20 anni. Alla cerimonia hanno partecipato il sindaco Filippo Mario Stirati, l’assessore Gabriele Damiani, la presidente del Rotary Club Gubbio Paola Fiorucci e Luca Mercadini, in qualità di moderatore.
I due progetti rispecchiano l’impronta che Paola Fiorucci ha voluto dare al Rotary Club in questi suoi primi mesi di mandato e sono stati realizzati con lo scopo di creare nei giovani un forte senso civico nel rispetto e nella valorizzazione del patrimonio storico della città e per aumentare la conoscenza sulla città e su alcuni luoghi simbolo. Aspetti che sono stati riconosciuti sia dai ragazzi che dai tutor che li hanno affiancati che hanno espresso il forte desiderio di poter partecipare anche il prossimo anno.
La consegna degli attestati in Comune
Il sindaco Filippo Stirati è intervenuto elogiando il progetto e l’impatto che ha avuto sui giovani: “È un piacere per me presenziare oggi e ringrazio il Rotary per questa intelligente iniziativa che ci permette di stabilire un rapporto con i giovani per il dialogo. È un’iniziativa che si fonda sul concetto di appartenenza e di legame con la città, con i suoi beni culturali e il suo paesaggio ed è stato bello coinvolgere alcune nostre realtà artigiane.
Il progetto ci ha permesso di stabilire un confronto e collaborazione con la cittadinanza attiva. È stata una bella notizia per noi vedere come si sono impegnati i giovani in questa iniziativa, vedere la loro sensibilità. Ragazzi che sono fonte di tesoro, ricchezza culturale a favore della cura e della promozione della città”.
La consegna degli attestati
Dopo la premiazione dei ragazzi e dei tutor che hanno partecipato ai due progetti, gli interventi finali sono stati quelli Paola Fiorucci e di Gabriele Damiani. La Presidente del Rotary Club ha ringraziato tutti coloro che hanno partecipato e reso possibile la realizzazione del progetto, in particolar modo Rosella Bellucci, responsabile dell’Informagiovani Gubbio.
L’assessore Damiani ha espresso tutta la soddisfazione per la riuscita di questa iniziativa: “Questo progetto mi è stato presentato pochi giorni dopo la mia nomina e con il sindaco abbiamo subito appoggiato l’idea, grazie anche alla forte sintonia che si è creata fin da subito con Paola e Lucia.
Angels City e Giovani Ciceroni
Il dato di fatto è che i giovani hanno la consapevolezza della titolarità nella gestione e nella tutela del nostro bene comune. Voglio precisare che questo non risponde agli atti vandalici accaduti qualche tempo fa, anzi ci stavamo lavorando già da gennaio.
Il nostro obiettivo è quello sviluppare la prevenzione e il protagonismo giovanile in senso buono perché è loro che devono costruire il futuro ed è per questo che abbiamo appoggiato l’iniziativa e che stiamo preparando un piano triennale di politiche giovanili affinché siano fortemente coinvolti e protagonisti del loro futuro”.
I ragazzi dei progetti in Comune
The ceremony of the delivery of certificates of the projects “Angles City” and “Giovani Cicerani”
In the Sala Consiliare of Gubbio, there was the ceremony of the delivery of the certificates of participation to the projects “Angels City” and “Giovani Ciceroni”, initiatives which involved young people between 17 and 20 years old. The ceremony was introduced by the Mayor Filippo Mario Stirati, the Councillor Gabriele Damiani, the president of Rotary Club Paola Fiorucci and Luca Mercadini, in the role of moderator.
The two projects reflect the idea that Paola Fiorucci want to give to Rotary Club Gubbio during these initial months of mandate and they are realized with the purpose of creating, in young people, a strong community spirit in the respect and exploitation of the Gubbio historical heritage and raising the knowledge of some important places of Gubbio. There are some aspects that are recognized by the young people and the tutors who followed them, all of them expressed the desire to participate next year too.
Progetti City Angels e Giovani Ciceroni
The Mayor Stirati is intervened praising the project and the impact that have on young people: “It is a pleasure for me being here and thanks to the Rotary Club for this smart initiative which allows us to create a dialogue with young people. It is a project which bases on the concept of belonging and link with the town, with its cultural heritage and its landscape and it was great involving some our artisans.
This idea allows us to establish some important collaboration because we cannot solve all the problems, in fact we need that there is a confrontation and collaboration with the active citizenship. It was incredible for us seeing the commitment of young people and their sensitivity, because they are our treasure and cultural wealth”.

After the ceremony, the final speeches was of Paola Fiorucci and Gabriele Damiani. The president of Rotary Club thanked those who participated to this project and make it possible, in particular Rosella Bellucci, the responsible of Informagiovani of Gubbio.
The councillor Damiani expressed all his satisfaction for the outcome of this initiative: “This project was presented to me few days later my appointment and with the Mayor we have immediately support the idea, also thanks to the strong connection with Paola and Lucia.

The fact is that young people have the awareness of the administration and the protection of our heritage. I want to specify that this is not an answer to the vandalism of this last period. Our purpose is developing the prevention and the youth limelight because they have to build their future and for this reason we have supported the initiative and we are preparing a three-year plan of youth policies so that they are strongly involved and protagonists of their future”.
